The philatelic web sites of Guernsey - Jersey - Man
.... are a "joint venture" of the two collector clubs Forschungsgemeinschaft Kanalinseln & Insel Man e.V. (FGCI) and Channel Islands Specialists Society (CISS). They both deal with the philately of the Channel Islands. In the FGCI are also the collectors of the isle of man on the team IOM organized.
With our web site we want to inform you about everything, what does approximately around our collective area, but her also to suggest becoming member in the FGCI and/or CISS.
At this site will always worked and especially news and events are constantly updated, so it's worth it for the collectors, our website regularly and often to visit. Our webmaster will be happy (constructive) criticisms and suggestions.
News
On the last weekend in March 2008 our British sister's community, the CISS, took place it Philatelic weekend in Cologne.
On 22.09.2007 was the annual general meeting of FGCI within the Philatelia in Cologne. Here the leader of the FGCI informed that our collector's friend Phil Brehaut from Guernsey is succumbed of its heavy illness. Which meaning will have his death - independent of the human loss - for us Channel Island collectors, is not to be estimated generally yet.
Besides the following decisions were accepted:
- The yearly subscription amounts since the 01.01.2008, 30, - €
- The "Inselrundschau" is dispatched from now on only to members who have followed to her contribution obligations.
- 14 members were excluded.
Invitation for the annual general meeting of the FGCI
The FGCI meeting takes place on Saturday, 15 November 2008, at 13.00 o'clock within the philatelic fair PHILATELIA in the fair halls of Cologne.
